Youth Group

The Our Lady Star of the Sea Gladstone Youth Group was established after the successful parish event “LOVE LIVES HERE” in 2018. This group meets during the school term every Friday and provides a safe, enjoyable and life giving Jesus encountering environment for our parish high schoolers from Years 7 to 12. Healing Prayer Ministry

Ministers complete a formal training course and are then commissioned to pray with the community. The community is encouraged to contact the Parish Office 49721025 for further information. Brochures are available at the church doors and Parish Office. Appointments are most welcome.

Family Group

A family group is made up of 10-15 families, with a cross sectionof ages, including some children of the same age like an extended family. Everyone is welcome to join, from grandparents to babies. There is room for non-church attending spouses, one-parent families and single people,elderly or young. For further information please call the Parish Office 49721025.

Mercy Associates Sisters of Mercy

Altar Serving

Any boy or girl who has received confirmation can undertake this essential ministry in our parish. Training will be provided. Please contact the Parish Office 49721025.

Our Cathechetics reach out to the children of the parish who attend State Schools. If you would like to join this ministry please contact the Parish Office 49721025.

Rosary Group

The rosary group meet at the Star of the Sea Parish Office on the 3rd Thurday of the month and at St Peter Chanel Tannum Sands each Wednesday.

Liturgy of the Word for Children

This ministry explains the Sunday readings to children, and are conducted during 9am mass at the Star of the Sea Church and 8am at St Peter Chanel Tannum Sands during the school term.

Lectors, Eurcharist Ministers, Data Projector Operators, Commentators, Welcomers, Church Cleaners

St Vincent de Paul Society

The volunteers do all our sorting if donated clothes and various other activities associated with preparing goods for sale in our shop. All money raised by the shop is then distributed to the poor in Gladstone and surrounding areas. If you are interested please contact 49722662.
