Holy Orders

Holy Orders is the Sacrament by which a man is set apart as a deacon, priest or bishop. The role of the parish priest in particular is vitally important in the Church, as it is he who celebrates the Sacraments with God’s people, preaches the gospel and is the spiritual leader of the parish. This vocation is a sacred call that must be discerned carefully by the person himself as well as by the Church. If you feel that God may be calling you to the priesthood, talk to someone you trust about it. You are welcome at any time to speak to your parish priest, or you can contact the Diocesan Vocations Officer, Michael Otto (043389773 or  Michael.Otto@rok.catholic.net.au)
